NATURE RHYTHMS

NATURE’S RHYTHMS is one of the many series of artworks that explore black, white and neutral colors.

This sold painting is created with a combination of hand-painted collage papers. These imbedded papers are of various weights and range from transparent tissue to thick opaque. Once the base collage is applied, I continue to draw and paint until the work comes together.

Wide, narrow paintings have interested me for some time. The unusual long format is creatively challenging. That’s because, the composition needs to keep the viewer’s attention moving left to right and back. This is never an easy task.

Narrow paintings are quite versatile and can add focus to awkward wall areas. This one can work either horizontally or vertically, whichever suits the room.
