I always enjoy considering the underlying philosophy of what I’m expressing in my paintings. Sometimes, the meaning doesn’t become clear to me until after the painting is finished. That’s what happened here.

It dawned on me that IT’S ALL CONNECTED was actually inspired by watching events unfold during the pandemic. For the first time, we all realized just how intertwined everyone is, on this tiny planet of ours.

When painting, I enjoy the balance of control and freedom.

Even though my art is abstract, there is always an underlying structure of controlled geometric forms. However, for me, there must also be looseness in some areas to emit energy and give the painting life.

It’s as though my left-brain thinking side, is sharing the stage with my right-brain feeling side.
