Fresh Start in the Studio

After a whirlwind month filled with exhibitions, shipping out sold paintings and preparing canvases for new work, my studio was in quite a state of disarray.

While some artists thrive in a chaotic environment, I find it distracting. My workspace is never immaculate, but I prefer having things in their place—making it easier to find the right brush or paint color.

Below are some of the shots I took after a recent clean-up. I always love the feeling of a fresh start with everything in its place.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have a spacious 1800-square-foot warehouse to work in. It even includes a cozy 500-square-foot Studio Gallery on the other side of my painting wall.

This ample space is a dream come true for any artist, but it can easily become overwhelming.

So, I occasionally dedicate several days to tidying up. The white tarps on the floor and tables, along with the clear plastic on my painting walls, make cleaning much quicker.

A clean and organized studio is incredibly inspiring to me, setting the stage for more creativity and productivity.
