The title of this painting ‘Sunset Shadows’ says it all.

While watching the sunset one evening, the colors were spectacular. The trees created long shadows that seemed to shimmer. I felt the need to express the intense renewed energy I felt at that moment.

Wide, narrow paintings have interested me for some time. With this painting, I permanently joined three canvases together to create one long one.

They are quite versatile and can add focus to awkward wall areas. I enjoy creating them so they can work either horizontally or vertically, whichever suits the room.
