This is one of the many artworks from my exploration of black, white and neutral colors.

Sometimes I love to collage my own pre-painted papers of various weights from transparent to heavy. Once the base collage is applied, I continue to draw and paint until the work comes together.

Wide, narrow paintings have interested me for some time. The unusual long format is creatively challenging. That’s because, the composition needs to keep the viewer’s attention moving left to right and back. This is never an easy task.

Narrow paintings are quite versatile and can add focus to awkward wall areas. This one can work either horizontally or vertically, whichever suits the room.
